Rio 2016 preparations continue for Tim Lodge

So that's that then my first 5 week block of winter training is completed. It's been fantastic, really really hard and more intense than any training I have ever done but the results speak for themselves. Giving up work and focusing solely on this great journey is already paying dividends.
There are many areas of improvement that have been set out from now until selection for Rio but 2 of the main ones are body composition and core strength. The last 2 days testing has shown and improvement in core strength and skin fold testing along with a weight loss of 4.2 KG since coming here in Sept (that's nearly 3/4 of a stone) which is a big chunk off the total goal already so I am really really pleased.
I have come through injury free, my feet are in good shape and my dodgy shoulder is the best its been. Everything is in place for the start of the next block on Monday after 3 days off.
Michelle's on her way and we are off out of here for the weekend so can't wait to see her and have a break from it all for a couple of days.
I've missed the people close to me but if I keep this focused then the best is yet to come..... bring it on .
